Yn ôl caledwch gwifren sgriw, tensiwn cario, cryfder cynnyrch ac yn y blaen, mae dosbarthiad gradd o bollt soced Hecsagon, hynny yw, lefel y bollt soced hecsagon. Mae'n ofynnol i wahanol gynhyrchion a deunyddiau gael gwahanol raddau o folltau soced hecs sy'n cyfateb iddynt. Mae gan bob bollt soced hecs y graddau canlynol:
Rhennir bolltau soced hecsagon yn bolltau cyffredin a chryfder uchel yn ôl cryfder gradd. Mae bolltau soced hecs arferol yn cyfeirio at ddosbarth 4.8, mae bolltau soced hecs cryfder uchel yn cyfeirio at ddosbarth 8.8 neu uwch, gan gynnwys dosbarth 10.9 a dosbarth 12.9. Mae bolltau soced hecs o radd 12.9 yn gyffredinol yn sgriwiau pen cwpan soced HEX du gyda knurling, lliw naturiol ac olew.
Gradd perfformiad bolltau soced hecs ar gyfer cysylltiad strwythur dur yw 3.6, 4.6, 4.8, 5.6, 6.8, 8.8, 9.8, 10.9, 12.9, ac ati Mae mwy na 10 gradd, ymhlith y mae bolltau gradd 8.8 ac uwch yn cael eu gwneud o ddur aloi carbon isel neu ddur carbon canolig ac wedi'i drin â gwres (wedi'i ddiffodd, wedi'i dymheru), a elwir yn gyffredinol yn bolltau cryfder uchel, a gelwir y lleill yn bolltau cyffredin yn gyffredinol. Mae'r label gradd perfformiad bollt yn cynnwys dwy ran, sy'n cynrychioli'r gwerth cryfder tynnol enwol a chymhareb buckling y deunydd bollt yn y drefn honno.
